Historical places in Hubli



Chandramouleshwara Temple: This temple is located in Unkal village, Hubli. It was built 900 years ago by the chalukyas. The temple is dedicated to Lord Chandramouleshwara or Lord Shiva, the idol is carved from black granite stone. The walls of the temples are carved very beautifully.

Banashankari Temple: This temple is located in Amargol town, Hubli. It was built by Chalukyas in the 20th century and it is a two shrine temple. One shrine houses the deity Devi Banashankari and the other Lord Shiva. The pillars in this temple are decorated with the figures of Ganapathi, Shiva, Brahma and many more.
